Attractive Africa

Africa is often referred to as an island continent. It has the Atlantic Ocean on the west, the Mediterranean Sea on the north, the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean on the east, and the mingling waters of the Atlantic and Indian oceans on the south. It is also the second largest continent in the world. Africa is a glorious canvas painted with untouched nature and wilderness. The continent boasts of tropical rainforests and a tropical coastline. It has rippling dunes in the Namib Desert, the savannah and jagged mountains in Serengeti. The canyons in the Great Rift Valley tell the story of continental traverse. The valley is deepest north of Nairobi in Kenya, while the southern section of the valley has the third-deepest freshwater body in the world, Lake Malawi.

Though the first activity you would want to indulge in is a safari, there are various other adventures to partake in magnificent Africa!

Africa has a warm and hot climate all over. The northern part experiences aridity and high temperatures, and the northernmost and the southernmost fringes have a Mediterranean climate. The continent has the equator running through the middle, along with the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. The best months for an African safari are September, October, March or April. The temperatures in these months aren’t scorching. Africa is made up of 54 sovereign countries, most with their own currency. However, the Libyan dinar (LYD or LD) is the strongest currency in Africa.
