Indonesia is the world’s largest island country, comprising of more than seventeen thousand islands. It lies along the Equator which gives it an even climate all year round. It has no extreme summers or winters but two seasons, dry and wet. The dry season falls between May and October with the wet season between November and April. The capital of the country, Jakarta, is located on the island of Java. Indonesia is full of myriad places with the beauty of scenic natural landscapes blended with untouched beaches. Mountains, lakes, and magnificent city skylines throughout the country. Some of the places worth visiting are Java, Maluku & Papua, Bali & Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi, Kalimatan, Sumatra etc. A nature walk will get you acquainted to the unique wildlife in this country. From the legendary Komodo Dragons to the gentle giant Orangutan, the majestic Cendrawasih Bird of Paradise, and many more. Indonesia boasts of an extensive coral reef which is counted as the richest and most diverse in the world. The Borobudur Temple in Magelang, Central Java is the largest Buddhist monument that stands today. Not to miss the Prambanan Temple Compounds, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia and one of the largest Hindu temples in south-east Asia.
