Amazing Malaysia

Malaysia is separated by the South China Sea into Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia. One of the richest nations in Southeast Asia, Malaysia is a multicultural society. The capital Kuala Lumpur, has the world’s tallest twin towers – Petronas Twin Towers. Located on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur is a popular tourist spot, Batu Caves. The caves are full of limestone rock formations. It takes 272 steps to reach the deep interior which nestles a sacred Hindu shrine. A must visit is the Palau Langkawi island. It is the largest of the 99 islands in the Langkawi archipelago in the Andaman Sea. Ample scenic beauty of white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters surrounded with forested hills, is a treat for the eyes and the soul. The best months to visit the islands on the west side of Malaysia are December to February, and June to August for visiting islands on the Eastern coast. The climate in Malaysia is tropical and temperatures generally range from 32°C at noon to about 26°C at midnight. The country is well-known for its pristine beaches with great scuba diving opportunities. The dive season is limited to April to September. The Malaysian rainforest boasts of the richest flora in the world. Malaysia also has various beautiful national parks. Taxis are easily available in all cities and larger towns, and towns of any size have a bus terminal offering connections to other parts of the country. The currency is the Malaysian Ringgit (MYR or RM) which equals INR 16-18 (fluctuates).
