Remarkable Morocco

Morocco is located in the Maghreb region of North Africa. Morocco stretches from the Atlantic Ocean, to mountainous areas, to the Sahara desert. The Atlas Mountains are in the centre and the south of the country. The country experiences a Mediterranean climate. Most of the southeast portion of the country is in the Sahara Desert. The capital, Rabat contains the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum which are UNESCO world heritage sites. The largest city in Morocco is Casablanca. Marrakech in central Morocco is also a popular tourist destination. A famous tourist attraction in this city is the Majorelle botanical garden. Marrakesh comprises an old fortified city packed with vendors and their stalls, the medina which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Meknes is another favourite tourist destination. Along with Fez, Marrakesh, and Rabat, it is also one of the four Imperial cities of Morocco. Volubilis  in Meknes is a site of Roman construction, worth visiting to see the pieces of the once tall and grandeur Roman villa. Another city high on the list of tourist destinations is Tangier. The best months to visit are April and May, or September to November. During these months, the weather is neither too hot nor too cold. The currency is the Moroccan Dirham (MAD or DH) which equals INR 7-8(fluctuates).
