Unique Panama
Panama a small country located on the narrow strip of land connecting North and South America. Panama offers the best of beach life with plenty of deserted islands, and the clear turquoise waters of the Pacific. A thrilling time awaits with ample adventures like scuba diving with whale sharks in the Pacific, or snorkeling the rainbow reefs of Bocas del Toro. The capital and largest city is Panama City, which is culturally diverse; wild and sophisticated. The city boasts of a plethora of historic sites and locations related to the operation of the Panama Canal. The cathedral at Plaza de la Catedral, the waterfront promenade – Las Bóvedas jutting out into the Pacific and UNESCO World Heritage Site – Casco Viejo or Casco Antiguo was conceived as a walled city to protect its settlers against future pirate attacks. The Calle Uruguay and Casco Viejo neighborhoods contain a variety of different bars and nightclubs that cater to the tourists visiting the city.
Panama has a tropical maritime climate. It is warm and humid at sea level, with slightly cooler weather in mountain areas. The best time to visit is during the short dry season, from December to March. The currency is the Panamanian Balboa (PAB or B/.) which is equivalent to the US Dollar and equals INR 70-73(fluctuates).
